Condoleeza Rice

The Republicans claim that she is highly qualified to be Secretary of State.

Because she failed to advise the President (himself unqualified to be President) of the absolute insanity of invading Iraq? Because she has spent most of her career in the academic ivory tower? Because she is an expert in the politics of a country that no longer exists, and has nothing to do with the world of the early 21st century? Because she looks like the mother from some black version of the Brady Bunch (complete with the Florence Henderson hairdo)?

I don't think so.

At least Colin Powell had some experience in the real world out there, and looked the part, even if in the end he was a failure.
